SALOMON SB 8

These boards are a newer model of the popular Propeller.  They feel exactly like the old model, so my ratings remain the same.  SB8 is one of the most popular beginner Snowblades.  They are wider then the Buzz and are a little more comfortable in the powder.  The shorter length lets the rider try more tricks without getting too high off the ground.  They are very good all around boards however if you plan on riding them more then a couple weekends a year, you will quickly notice that you reached the limits.  Since they are 84cm long they are slower then other models.  This limits your airtime to 20-30 foot tabletops.  They are narrow, so there is practically no margin for error on the landings.  The boards are narrower then most skiboards, and that paired up with a small side cut, does not let the rider get horizontal enough to feel the carves.
